Chocolate Chip Cookies

Do you like soft chocolate chip cookies? How about a simple recipe that will make not only chocolate chip cookies, but peanut butter chocolate chip and double chocolate chip cookies? You’ll love this recipe, I promise. It’s my go-to recipe for quick, crowd-pleasing cookies. I have made this recipe many times and they always turn out great!


1.5 c. unsalted butter, softened
1.5 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 egg
1 T vanilla extract
4 c. all purpose flour
1 T cornstarch
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. bittersweet chocolate chips +++
  • Cream the butter and sugars, add the egg and vanilla, followed by the dry ingredients.
  • Flavor additions: 2T(+) cocoa powder or 1/2 C peanut butter are my favorites.
  • Ball- small- and bake at 350F for 5-8 minutes depending on size.
  • Roll the remainder into balls and freeze for easy baking on lazy days 🙂
